Location: Olympia or Tumwater
Web Application Developer
The goal of this project is to convert the existing application from a thin client application currently utilizing HTML/DHTML, ASP, JavaScript and COM business objects to an ASP.NET application utilizing VB.NET or C#, the.NET Framework 2.0, web services, business layer and data layer. There are also some additional enhancements to be made following the conversion.
A. Mandatory Experience and Qualifications:
· Senior-level experience (5 years) in the development of web-based applications using ASP.NET, VB.NET or C#, .NET Framework 2.0, web services, ADO.NET, MS SQL Server and Transact SQL.
· Experience in object-oriented analysis and design, modeling and development.
· Capability and commitment to document and transfer knowledge of your work.
· Ability to work directly and indirectly with other team members.
· Available to work in Olympia or Tumwater, Washington.
B. Highly Desired Experience and Qualifications:
· Experience in the design, development, implementation and consumption of services within a service oriented architecture.
· Experience in trouble shooting and performance tuning web based .NET applications.
· Experience using the Infragistics WebGrid.
· Experience developing reports using the Crystal Reports designer.
· Experience in the development of web-based applications using Visual Basic, Active X components, HTML/DHTML, Active Server Pages, MTS, MS SQL Server and Transact SQL.
· Experience in packaging and deploying Web based applications across the Internet/Intranet to Windows desktops running MS Internet Explorer; building middle tier Visual Basic COM business objects utilizing MS IIS and MTS.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
