TWO highly experienced professional Information Technology developers working on an Agile project team to analyze, document, propose solutions, code and test a large complex business solution. The developers will also contribute to developing business and functional requirements for the IT software application development project, as well as code and test.
Suitable candidates will have a proven track record working in an Agile environment utilizing .NET and C# on software application development projects. They will have a wide breadth of IT knowledge and experience. Documented IT experience should include (but not be limited to): experience in all phases of the standard IT Software Development Lifecycle (including Agile) and experience in different IT environments (such as Enterprise, Small Business and Government; as well as LANs, Mainframes and Telco). Knowledge of multiple Operating systems, development languages and platforms is a plus. Previous experience working on an Agile team is required. Prior experience in the integration of ESRI GIS objects is desirable.
Required knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Ability to effectively contribute and work on a self-directed team.
- Ability to effectively produce in multiple IT disciplines, including requirements identification, business analysis, coding, QA testing, and system documentation.
- Ability to effectively work as an application developer in an Agile environment.
- Skills in the Unified Modeling Language (UML), specifically developing Use Cases.
- Skills in Object Oriented modeling and design.
- Skills in system requirements specification development and documentation.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities.
Specific duties include:
Work as a member of an IT SCRUM project team to:
- Code application
- Obtain an understanding of key business needs and work directly with end users to create effective solutions.
- Elicit, understand, and document complex business processes and translate them into solutions.
- Interact and consult with senior and midlevel managers of business units, as well as key Subject Matter Experts.
- Exercise excellent communication skills for communicating various system issues and meeting the customer’s expectations.
- Participate in workshop/interview meetings with business/application owners and end users
- Effectively manage time to assure commitments are met on time.
- Application Integration of ESRI products, .NET environments, and third party tools.
- Employ source code repository check-in processes.
- Employ a strong team-oriented focus
Documentation of work to include:
- Requirements Document
- UML documentation including; Use Cases, Storyboarding, and Wireframes
- Technical documentation
- Unit tests
- Other project related documentation as required by the IT Project Office Manager
