Why & how has this role arisen? (a very exciting incubation team)
This is a project that will have you working on visual search production tools; the set of tools that the internal production team is responsible for as they relate to creating and editing content. These are inward facing tools to build new features used by the team. The team will be feeding you requirements and although you’ll help them in writing specs, this person is developing in more of an “IT style” development methodology; doing bug fixes; code maintenance, change functionality and/or add new features and more. The audience is well understood and the process is tried and true.
You’ll need to estimate to, build spec around and deliver the tools. C#, .net dev and some web dev; IIS and ASP.NET. WFP, CLR. We’re hoping for someone that has experience preferably in a production setting. Similar to the above. Well understood audience, folks writing content/working with folks that are generating creative and building tools to manage creative content.
Describe project and where you are at with the project:
They conduct releases in two month increments; next release is in May.
Daily job duties & responsibilities: 20% working with the production team. 80% spec’ing and writing code/maintaining code.
